Carolyn Roberts
Senior Director of Immersion ×ÔοÊÓÆµ
Carolyn Roberts is the Senior Director of Immersion ×ÔοÊÓÆµ. Carolyn has been at ×ÔοÊÓÆµ since 2011, first as the Registrar and then as a Research Services Librarian and Lecturer in Law, both at ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Law School.
Carolyn managed law library access services and provided research and reference services for students, faculty, and other members of the ×ÔοÊÓÆµ community. In addition, Carolyn taught legal research skills in the first-year Legal Research and Writing program, launched a Prepare to Practice Program, and taught an upper-level Tax Research course.
Since 2018, Carolyn and her team have been implementing and coordinating Immersion ×ÔοÊÓÆµ. She advises the ×ÔοÊÓÆµ Undergraduate Research Journal and is a faculty VUceptor.
Carolyn earned her B.A. from the University of Maryland- College Park and her J.D. and MLIS degrees from the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Carolyn is a first generation college student, an out-of-state student, a non-traditional student, and is the first in her family to attend law school. Her favorite hobbies include watching whatever sport her daughter is playing, running, and fostering dogs. She is happy to share insight and guidance about these topics in addition to Immersion ×ÔοÊÓÆµ advising.
