Rashad joined the Office of Investments (OoI) in 2022 as an Investment Manager on the Public Investments Team. He began his career in finance in 2011 as an investment banker in the Leveraged Finance Origination & Restructuring group at Credit Suisse. Following his time at CS, he led the Federal Reserve Board Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review quarterly credit stress testing program within the Asset Management line of business at JP Morgan. He later worked at Morgan Stanley, originating and executing Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) transactions on behalf of loan portfolio managers.
During his time at OoI, Rashad has transitioned to the Private Investments Team where he was promoted to Managing Director, sourcing and allocating across buyout, venture capital, structured credit, and real assets, and helps shape the team’s investment strategy.
Prior to his career in finance, Rashad served as a nuclear-trained naval submarine officer. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from the United States Naval Academy in 2001 and his MBA from The Wharton School in 2011.
