Overview

Kirsten Stinson is a graduate student in the chemistry department performing research in the Macdonald Lab. She is excitedly exploring phase control of metal chalcogenides and pnictides, synthesizing nanoparticles of all shapes and sizes. Kirsten is passionate about making science fun and informative for all types of learners. She loves to find new ways to explain a concept, bonus if there is a demonstration with it. Kirsten often treks over to the VINSE facilities for her research and has lots of experience during her time in undergrad volunteering and teaching. She is excited to jump in, make new friends, and learn more about science.
