Overview
Pratim Biswas is an expert in aerosol science and technology; specifically focusing on the understanding of particle formation, growth, transport and their applications. Aerosol science and technology is considered as a backbone of gas phase nanoparticle synthesis technologies that are scalable and sustainable. Â He has worked on the synthesis of a variety of nanoparticles ranging from inorganic to carbon based materials. Applications are in the field of energy and environmental nanotechnology ranging from renewable energy technologies (solar energy & battery materials), climate mitigation technologies (carbon capture and conversion); Â in the field of nanomedicine (for drug nanoparticle synthesis and delivery) and agricultural nanotechnology (synthesis of nanocomposite fertilizers, improving yield, preventing runoff).
