Logistics for Graduates Day
Details:
Graduates Day, which takes place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 7 at Memorial Gym, is the part of the celebration where ×ÔοÊÓÆµ University awards its prestigious Nichols-Chancellor’s Medal, one of the highest honors at the university.
The university has announced that award-winning author and professor Arthur C. Brooks will receive ×ÔοÊÓÆµ University’s prestigious Nichols-Chancellor’s Medal when he speaks at the university’s 2026 Commencement activities.
Parking:
Parking is available in the following structures:Ìý
- 25th Avenue Garage
- West Garage
- Terrace Garage*
- Wesley Garage*Ìý
*A shuttle will run periodically from these garages to Memorial Gym pre-event, then will pick up from Memorial Gym and the Indoor Practice Facility after Graduates Day and the Commencement Celebration, returning to these structures.
Logistics for Undergraduate Ceremony
Details:
Undergraduate Commencement, takes place at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 8 at FirstBank Stadium. After a victorious football season full of sold-out stands, the stadium is ready to welcome graduates for their final ×ÔοÊÓÆµ hurrah.
Parking:
Graduates could select one free parking pass when they claimed their guest tickets for the undergraduate ceremony. The graduate will get the electronic parking pass with their guest tickets. Specific directions and a map indicating where the pass is valid will be emailed to the graduate the week before Commencement.
There will be no shuttles from any campus parking locations to FirstBank Stadium on May 8.Ìý
Vandy Vans will be available to take undergraduate students to the stadium only.Ìý
For all other guests, ridesharing is strongly encouraged.
If staying in a neighboring hotel, please check with their concierge team about any hospitality shuttles they may offer.Ìý
For guests planning to drive to campus on Friday, MayÌý8, for undergraduate Commencement, more parking is available as indicated below*:Ìý

- Divinity School Diploma Ceremony — 25th Avenue Garage (limited mobility rides will be available from here to the ceremony location)Ìý

- Your graduate will be able toÌýrequestÌý oneÌýADA parking spot when they claim their tickets. It is up to the graduate to transfer the mobile parking pass to the person who needs ADA parking.ÌýÌý

- Sensory Room at FirstBank Stadium: The FirstBank Stadium/Hawkins Field Sensory Room is at the east concourse first aid room by Section P.  ×ÔοÊÓÆµ is working with globally recognized nonprofit    to serve fans with sensory needs. Designed by medical professionals, the sensory room will provide a quiet and safe environment for those in need. ×ÔοÊÓÆµâ€™s sensory rooms will feature bean bags, light-up walls and cubes, activity panels, bubbleÌýwallsÌýand custom art pieces. The Sensory Room is a safe place to take a break, recharge and return to the action when ready.Ìý
Traveling to Campus
Getting to ×ÔοÊÓÆµ from Nashville International Airport
Take I-40 west to exit 209A. Turn left onto Broadway. Follow Broadway and veer right to West End Avenue. Allow approximately 30 minutes driving time from the airport to ×ÔοÊÓÆµ University. If traffic is light, it will take less time.
Getting to ×ÔοÊÓÆµ on the Interstates
- From the north, take I-65 to I-40 west and then look for I-40 east to exit 209B. Turn right on Broadway.
- From the east or south,Ìýtake I-40 west to exit 209A. Turn left on Broadway.
From the west, take I-40 east to exit 209B. Turn right on Broadway (US 70S).
Follow Broadway and veer right to West End Avenue.
×ÔοÊÓÆµ is a mile and a half southwest of downtown Nashville and is approximately four hours from Atlanta, three hours from Birmingham, two and a half hours from Knoxville, three hours from Louisville and three hours from Memphis.
