This study center program enables students to improve their Italian while also expanding their knowledge about Italy through a variety of electives. Whether students choose to live in an apartment with CET peers or in a Florentine homestay to practice Italian, students live surrounded by museums, churches, cafes, night life, and restaurants, and all accommodations are walking distance to the CET Center. Florence offers adventures like climbing the Duomo, having a apertivo, appreciating art at the Uffizi Gallery, or taking a pizza making class, and an overnight excursion to Rome is included for all students.
Please note:
This program typically limits the number of students who participate by institution. ×ÔοÊÓƵ Study Abroad does not determine admissions decisions. As a result, students interested in this program are encouraged to apply early to both CET and ×ÔοÊÓƵ, talk with their ×ÔοÊÓƵ Study Abroad Advisor, and have a backup program selected.
VISA NOTICE:
Beginning January 10, 2025, every student must visit their local Consulate to be fingerprinted.
The new requirement means students will need to personally travel to an Italian Consulate and secure individual in-person appointments. Batch processing will not be an option, and this will increase overall visa costs as well. At present, the Italian government is still working with their Consulates to establish the new procedures, which likely won't be made public until sometime in early January 2025.
