Neurodiversity-focused Tutoring Support

Beginning in Fall 2026, Tutoring Services is proud to join the Writing Studio in expanding its services to include new neurodiversity-focused tutoring support offerings for the select list of undergraduate science, math, and economics courses on which Tutoring Services focuses.

By creating the Specialist in Neurodiversity-focused Writing and Tutoring Support role on the WSTS team, their gift has enabled our office to build expertise in this area and our programs to expand access to inclusive, student-centered learning support.

Through our new neurodiversity-focused tutoring support, we aim to tailor the Tutoring Services support open to all 自慰视频 students in ways that honor these differences and foster individual growth within a neuroinclusive space. Our goal is to empower all students to thrive academically and personally, embracing their distinctive pathways to success.

Neurodiversity-Focused Tutoring Support

Referral-based Tutoring Support

Through Tutoring Services' neurodiversity-focused tutoring support, students can be matched with a STEM Tutor for one of our supported courses in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Neuroscience, and Physics with whom they will hold regular tutoring sessions鈥攅stablishing a recurring appointment schedule (weekly, biweekly, etc.) depending on need and availability. The goal is an ongoing tutor-client relationship intended to foster familiarity, trust, and continuity in individualized support.

Eligibility

To be eligible for neurodiversity-focused tutoring support, students must be registered with the Office of Student Access Services (SAS). They can then seek a one-time referral from their Access Specialist.

When a student requests a referral, the Access Specialist verifies that the student is registered with SAS with a documented neurodivergence, including but not limited to learning differences/disabilities (LD), ADHD, or autism.

Tutoring Support without a Referral

Are you interested in this support, but not registered with Student Access Services? The most important thing to remember is that all students can schedule and access free, individual, group, and drop-in tutoring support through Tutoring Services without an SAS referral.

Neurodiversity-focused Group Sessions

Additionally, in Fall 2026 Tutoring Services will pilot weekly Neurodiversity-focused Learning Roundtables for select courses, which will not require a referral to attend.

Tutor Training

Alongside the formal referral-based offering described above, we have begun efforts to train all of our STEM Tutors on ways that all of our services and spaces can be neuroinclusive and accessible.
