Brightspace Content is Getting Upgraded
Beginning with the Fall 2027 semester, Brightspace courses will begin using the New Content Experience by default. Additionally, Instructors now have the ability to enable or disable the New Content Experience in their own courses ahead of the change in Fall 2027. Follett Discover is a tool which allows faculty to adopt course materials through the bookstore. Once these materials are adopted, students can use the tool to purchase them.
Adding Follett Discover to a Course
1. Open your course and navigate to the Content page
2. Select the module you鈥檇 like to add the tool into. If your course does not yet contain any modules, select Add a module to create one
3. In your module, select Existing Activities 鈫� External Learning Tools
4. Find the Follett Discover tool in the list and select it
5. The window will close and the Follett Discover tool will be displayed in your module. Click on the tool鈥檚 name to launch it and be taken to the bookstore鈥檚 website
