Physical wellness means taking care of your body by proactively taking steps to stay healthy, and responding to your body’s warning signs when it needs support. We want to help you make healthy, safe, and sustainable choices to promote your physical wellbeing. Resources for when your body needs a boost are listed below and available to you.

Center for Student Wellbeing (CSW) ★

The mission of the Center for Student Wellbeing is to create a culture that supports the personal development and academic success of students using an integrative, holistic framework. The CSW offers wellbeing, academic and peer coaching, recovery support services, meditation and yoga, skill-building workshops, substance use screenings, awareness and prevention programming, and referrals.

Student Care Coordination (SCC) ★

SCC is the central and first point of contact for students to help identify needs and determine the most appropriate resources in ×ÔοÊÓƵ’s Student Care Network and in the Nashville community to address concerns. Student Care Coordinators work collaboratively with students to develop a student success plan, share education about and facilitate connections to appropriate on and off-campus resources, and provide accountability through supportive follow-up meetings.

LGBTQI Life ★

×ÔοÊÓƵ’s Office of LGBTQI Life is a cultural center and a place of affirmation for individuals of all identities, and a resource for information and support about gender and sexuality. LGBTQI Life serves all members of the ×ÔοÊÓƵ community — students, faculty, staff, and alumni — by creating educational, cultural, and social opportunities. The office also supports and advises LGBTQI-related campus groups and activities.

Project Safe ★

The mission of the Project Safe Center is to provide information, support, referrals, and education about sexual and intimate partner violence (including sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking), as well as consent, healthy relationships, and healthy sexuality to the ×ÔοÊÓƵ University community. Project Safe serves as a central resource for those impacted by power-based personal violence and can assist with navigating the University’s resource and support network (including the University Counseling Center, Student Health Center, the Title IX & Discrimination Office, and the ×ÔοÊÓƵ University Police Department) as well as external support and law enforcement resources. ×ÔοÊÓƵ Recovery Support and AOD Resources ★

×ÔοÊÓƵ Recovery Support (VRS) provides a supportive and accountable community for individuals concerned about their alcohol or other drug misuse and those actively in recovery from addiction. This collegiate recovery program provided by the Center for Student Wellbeing offers biweekly meetings, monthly seminars, and recovery housing ().  Additionally, a support group for friends and family is offered. Students can also get connected with a variety of additional alcohol and other drug support resources by reaching out to the Center for Student Wellbeing.
