Brightspace Content is Getting Upgraded

Beginning with the Fall 2027 semester, Brightspace courses will default to the New Content Experience. Additionally, Instructors now have the ability to enable or disable the New Content Experience in their own courses ahead of the change in Fall 2027. ×ÔοÊÓÆµ faculty, staff, and students have a number of options for seeking support for educational technology tools at the Institute for the Advancement of Higher Education (AdvancED).

Zoom Consults

Instructors may contact us via email atÌýbrightspace@vanderbilt.eduÌýto request an individual remote consultationÌývia ZoomÌýwith a member of the EdTech team. Consultations must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

Workshops

Occasionally during the year, AdvancED staff will host Brightspace workshops for instructors interested in learning how to use Brightspace tools effectively and efficiently. See ourÌýWorkshops pageÌýfor the current schedule.

The Support Team

By hosting Brightspace and Instructional Technology Support as a more centralized model, with multiple Brightspace specialists housed at AdvancED, ×ÔοÊÓÆµ instructors will receive more robust assistance in using the course management system efficiently and effectively.
